The State of Food Retail and What It Means for Frozen
Leslie Sarasin, President and CEO, Food Marketing Institute
American Frozen Food Institute (1989-2008), President and CEO (1999-2008)
Ten years ago, Leslie Sarasin concluded a 19-year run with the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), to become the President and CEO of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), the national trade association of the supermarket industry and the “voice of food retail.” Leslie joined AFFI in 1989, and led the organization as President and CEO from 1999-2008. Now, a decade removed from her AFFI leadership and deeply embedded in the top-tier of one of the frozen food industry’s most important customer groups, Leslie returns to AFFI-CON 2018 to deliver the Industry Spotlight address: “The State of Food Retail and What It Means for Frozen.”
AFFI-CON is centered around meeting face-to-face with key suppliers and customers, so who better to address our industry’s most important event of the year than the voice of our biggest customers. Leslie brings the ideal perspective for AFFI-CON attendees; she is in constant contact with the leaders of the food retailing business, helping them solve their biggest problems, and yet she brings the mindset of someone who spent almost 20 years advocating for frozen. No one is better positioned than Leslie to talk about the current environment for our products and how to work with retailers to solve problems for them and their customers.
We hope all AFFI-CON attendees will set aside this time to hear from a special guest who brings unique insights to the challenges facing our category and the food industry.
*Please note that some AFFI-CON events are only open to AFFI members.
*Schedule is subject to change.
